Tesla Opens Interest Form for Personal Cybercab Fleets

Tesla has started gauging public appetite for owning and operating fleets of its purpose-built autonomous vehicle, the Cybercab. A form surfaced on the company’s website on Thursday, inviting individuals to share their details if they are curious about “Cybercab fleet vehicle purchasing.” The move hints at a possible business model where private owners or small operators, rather than Tesla alone, could run self-driving taxi services.
The Cybercab was first shown as a two-seat, steering-wheel-free concept intended for autonomous ride-hailing. Until now, Tesla has positioned the vehicle mainly as part of its own network. Collecting interest from potential fleet buyers suggests the company may be exploring a more distributed approach, letting customers acquire multiple units and put them to work.
The form does not lay out pricing, timelines, or delivery commitments. Tesla has a history of using waitlists and interest surveys to test demand before a product reaches full production. For now, the effort looks like an early signal rather than a finished sales program.
