Stellantis Swings Back to Profit in Q2 as North America Recovers, Europe Still Underwater

Stellantis closed the second quarter back in the black, lifted by a turnaround in North America even as its European operations continued to lose money, Automotive News reported. The result marks a reversal from the prior quarter, when the automaker posted a loss.
The split performance highlights how uneven the company’s regional fortunes have become: North America, long its profit engine, delivered the rebound, while Europe stayed in the red. Stellantis has been working through inventory and pricing pressure on both sides of the Atlantic.
The quarterly figures put the transatlantic group — whose brands include Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat — under continued scrutiny from investors weighing whether the North American recovery can offset weakness in Europe.
