Momenta Teams Up With DSAT to Bring Driver Assistance to Peugeot and Jeep

Chinese driving technology company Momenta has signed a global strategic partnership with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co Ltd (DSAT) to supply advanced driver assistance systems for upcoming Peugeot and Jeep vehicles. The deal was finalized in Shanghai on September 24, and the resulting models are expected to reach customers in China, Europe and other markets starting in 2027.

The collaboration goes beyond simply bolting hardware onto existing platforms. Momenta will take part in product definition and joint development work, tuning its R7 world model to match each brand’s identity and driving feel. The two sides plan to merge their vehicle engineering and chassis expertise, refining steering, braking and powertrain behavior so that the systems suit Jeep’s off-road character and Peugeot’s handling traits.

Several all-new DSAT new energy models will carry Momenta’s world model from 2027, with battery electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains among the options. DSAT, established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners, framed the agreement as a way to blend Peugeot’s driving dynamics and Jeep’s off-road capabilities with intelligent technology for both domestic and overseas deployment.

The tie-up also extends into autonomous driving, including Level 3 development and deployment. For Momenta, which trades on the Hong Kong exchange under ticker 6880, the partnership offers another channel into global markets through the automakers’ sales networks. General manager Lv Haitao and Momenta CEO Cao Xudong both pointed to the combination of brand-specific vehicle character and Chinese AI expertise as the core of the arrangement, with Cao noting that Momenta is positioning itself for what it expects to be a turning point in the global driver assistance market in 2028.
