Mercedes-Benz Lines Up Six World Premieres for Paris Show

Mercedes-Benz Lines Up Six World Premieres for Paris Show

Mercedes-Benz is heading to the Paris Motor Show with its most ambitious launch wave in years, planning six show premieres that will be spread across Hall 5.2 during a media event on 12 October 2026, the opening day of the event. The German manufacturer says the debuts reflect a product push that now touches nearly every corner of its range, from compact SUVs to flagship sedans and high-performance AMG models.

Leading the line-up is an all-new GLA, alongside the electric VLE people carrier, which can seat as many as eight occupants and is rated at more than 700km of range on the WLTP cycle. Mercedes-Benz has kept technical specifics for most of the cars under wraps until the show opens. The reveal list also includes a new GLE, a new generation of the S-Class, and two Mercedes-AMG offerings: the CLA 45 and the GT 4-Door Coupé.

Electrification runs through the announcement. Electric variants of the C-Class and GLC will share stand space with the CLA Shooting Brake, pushing battery-powered options into several different segments rather than concentrating them in a single niche. The company frames this breadth as evidence that its electric offensive is moving from launch phase into broader customer reach.

Mercedes-Benz is also using the Paris timing to mark a symbolic milestone: 140 years since Carl Benz filed his 1886 patent, widely regarded as the birth of the automobile. Jens Kunath, Vice President Sales & Financial Services at Mercedes-Benz Cars, tied the anniversary to the current rollout, describing Paris as a meeting point between the company’s founding spirit and its next chapter. In his words, the line-up — stretching from the new GLA to the new S-Class — represents the brand’s largest product-launch programme, now reaching buyers across the entire portfolio.

Kunath added that demand for the brand’s electric cars is strong and that the offensive is gaining traction, with markets and retail partners helping convert that interest into sales. For now, details on powertrains, pricing and market availability remain limited beyond the VLE’s seating capacity and range figure, leaving the Paris media day as the next opportunity for the full picture to emerge.
