Ligier Brings Hydrogen Racing Push to Magny-Cours With Bosch, ACO and Alpine

Ligier Automotive turned the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours into a stage for hydrogen mobility, hosting a convention devoted to the technology together with Bosch Engineering. The gathering served as a showcase for several hydrogen-powered machines rather than a single product launch.

Among the vehicles on display was Ligier’s own JS2 RH2, presented as part of the company’s continued commitment to hydrogen propulsion. MissionH24 contributed its H24EVO racer, while Alpine brought the Alpenglow HY6, giving attendees a look at three distinct interpretations of hydrogen performance.

By assembling engineering partners, a race organizer in the ACO and a performance brand like Alpine under one roof, the event underlined how hydrogen is being positioned inside motorsport as well as on public roads. Magny-Cours, long a fixture of French motorsport, provided a fitting backdrop for that message.

The convention reflects a broader effort among French and European players to keep hydrogen in the conversation as an alternative to battery-electric power, particularly in applications where racing demands and fast refueling matter.
