Leapmotor Sets September Delivery Record, Clearing 100,000 for a Third Month

Leapmotor kept its sales momentum rolling in September, reporting a global delivery record of 105,656 vehicles. The figure marks a 58.51 percent rise compared with the same month a year earlier and a modest 2.45 percent gain over August, extending the company’s streak above the 100,000 mark to a third consecutive month.

The latest numbers also lifted Leapmotor to a record quarterly performance. Third-quarter deliveries reached 310,052 units, up 78.34 percent year-on-year and nearly 26 percent higher than the prior quarter. Across the first nine months of the year, the automaker handed over 666,539 vehicles, an increase of 68.52 percent and already more than the 596,555 it delivered across all of 2025.

Despite the growth, the pace of expansion cooled on an annual basis — September’s year-on-year increase came in below August’s 80.72 percent — even as the month-over-month comparison improved. Leapmotor has now covered roughly two-thirds of its stated one-million-unit annual target, meaning it must move around 111,154 vehicles a month in the fourth quarter, a threshold slightly above September’s tally.

Overseas activity is adding to the picture. Leapmotor shipped more than 27,000 vehicles abroad in September, pushing cumulative exports past 150,000 for the first nine months, with its Stellantis-backed international venture steering sales outside China. Its European sales and service footprint has passed 1,000 locations, and the brand is set to appear at the Paris Motor Show on October 12. Looking further ahead, founder and CEO Zhu Jiangming has said a second brand will launch and start delivering vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2027.
