Hydrasun HyQube Refuelling Units Head to Germany for Fuel Cell Buses

Fuel cell bus operators in Germany are set to gain access to a combined hydrogen supply and refuelling package built around Hydrasun’s HyQube units. The equipment is being bundled by FPS.Energy, which aims to lower the entry barrier for transit fleets looking to move away from diesel.
The arrangement addresses a practical obstacle for hydrogen bus deployment: operators need both a reliable fuel supply and working refuelling infrastructure, and coordinating the two separately can delay projects. By packaging HyQube hardware with fuel provision, FPS.Energy hopes to simplify procurement for fleet managers.
The German market has been among the more active in Europe for hydrogen bus trials, with several cities testing fuel cell vehicles as part of broader decarbonisation plans. The HyQube units are designed to support that kind of fleet operation, though specific deployment locations and fleet sizes have not been detailed.
For operators weighing the switch, the appeal of a combined offering lies in reduced complexity rather than any single technical breakthrough. How quickly the model translates into concrete bus orders will depend on local funding and the pace of hydrogen supply chain development in each region.
