Huawei-Backed Aistaland Expands Lineup with Second Model, the GX7 SUV

Aistaland, the electric vehicle brand jointly established by Chinese automaker GAC and Huawei, is broadening its product range. After the launch of the flagship GT7 sedan, the brand has now filed regulatory paperwork for its second model, a large SUV named the GX7. This move signals a deliberate effort to establish a stronger foothold in the competitive Chinese EV market.
The GX7 is a substantial vehicle, measuring 5,099 mm in length. It comes with an engine-based range-extender system, offering a pure-electric driving range of up to 305 kilometers. This configuration aims to provide the convenience of electric driving for daily commutes while also offering the long-distance capability that some buyers still expect.
By expanding into the SUV segment with the GX7, Aistaland is strategically positioning itself to appeal to families and buyers who prioritize space and versatility. The brand is part of Huawei’s broader automotive ecosystem, which leverages its advanced technology and software expertise to compete in the premium EV sector. With the GT7 and now the GX7, Aistaland is intent on becoming a notable player in China’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
