Geely Auto's August Sales Climb 8% as Record Overseas Deliveries Counterweigh Weak Home Market

In a month marked by contrasting performances, Geely Auto achieved an 8 percent year-over-year increase in total sales for August, driven by an unprecedented surge in overseas deliveries that helped offset a softer domestic demand environment. The automaker shipped 110,094 vehicles to international markets during the month, a remarkable 205 percent jump compared with the same period in 2025. This overseas volume represented an impressive 41 percent share of Geely’s overall monthly sales, highlighting the growing importance of exports in its portfolio.

The substantial export growth illustrates Geely’s strategic push toward global arenas, even as its home market faced headwinds from heightened competition and shifting consumer preferences.
