Envalior Brings Circular PA6 and New EV-Grade Plastics to Fakuma 2026

Materials supplier Envalior used the Fakuma 2026 plastics trade fair to showcase recycled PA6 compounds alongside a fresh line of grades engineered for electric vehicle components. The move reflects a broader shift in the automotive materials supply chain, which is increasingly preparing for end-of-life vehicle regulations that will demand higher recycled content and better recyclability across parts.

PA6, a widely used polyamide, has long featured in under-hood and structural applications. By promoting a circular version of the material, Envalior is positioning itself for a future in which plastic parts are recovered, reprocessed and returned to new vehicles rather than sent to landfill. The company’s EV-focused grades point to the same logic: electric platforms need lightweight, durable and thermally stable plastics, and those parts must also fit into a closed-loop recovery picture.

As regulators in Europe and beyond tighten rules on vehicle dismantling and material recovery, suppliers that can offer verified circular content are likely to gain an advantage with automakers. Envalior’s Fakuma display signals that the plastics sector is treating end-of-life vehicle requirements as a design brief rather than a distant compliance issue.
