E-Bike Summit Returns in 2027 With New Owner and a Media Ally

The E-Bike Summit is back on the calendar. Datateam Business Media has bought the event, and MicromobilityBiz will act as its official editorial partner when it lands at Sustainable Ventures, County Hall in London on 26 April 2027.
The conference last ran in 2024, at the University of Oxford. Its founder was Ade Thomas of ElectricDrives; the ownership now sits with Datateam, which wants the summit to work as an open, cooperative space for tackling the sector’s thorniest problems.
Who’s Expected in the Room
The guest list is deliberately broad. Organisers are pulling together people who make decisions at a senior level, policy figures from the national stage, local council representatives, shared transport operators, pioneers of light electric vehicles, and managers running commercial fleets — all under one roof.
The venue choice is no accident. Sitting directly across from the Houses of Parliament, County Hall gives Westminster figures an easy walk to the door, while Waterloo Station handles the central London commute. There are bike facilities on site too.
Two Rooms, Two Tracks
The dual-stream layout from 2024 is coming back, split into two dedicated spaces:
- Main Auditorium: keynote briefings, cross-sector debates and panel sessions running 30 to 45 minutes apiece.
- Interactive Workshop Suite: a practical breakout room running in parallel, built for technical clinics, urban logistics roundtables and workshops on fleet operations.
Anyone keen to host, curate or present a workshop is being urged to speak up early, while slots are still free.
E-Bike Positive Signs On
The summit has locked in a core partnership with the E-Bike Positive campaign, which operates under the joint watch of the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT) and the Bicycle Association (BA). Safety, battery compliance and clearer regulation sit at the centre of that work.
“The E-Bike Summit is a great opportunity to bring together perspectives from across the sector, which is why we’re so pleased to be partnering with the event.” — ACT and Bicycle Association, speaking for E-Bike Positive
Lauren Jenkins, editor of both BikeBiz and MicromobilityBiz, framed the purchase as a milestone — and a chance to widen the tent. In her words, the goal is to draw in everyone from councils to MPs, brands and shared transport operators, get as many people involved as possible, and turn conversation into action.
Tickets and Commercial Slots
Early bird delegate passes went live this week at £105, and that price holds for exactly 30 days before climbing to the standard £125. Commercial partners get reach across both MicromobilityBiz and BikeBiz, since both titles sit inside the Datateam fold.
Packages on offer include headline sponsorship (with early input into programming), panel sponsorships, workshop room hosting and tailored exhibition space. Workshop proposals and commercial enquiries go to Richard Setters, Head of Sales, at rsetters@datateam.co.uk. Tickets and updates are at ebikesummit.org.
For a sector that spends plenty of time arguing about batteries and bike lanes, a room full of policymakers and fleet bosses may be the more useful battleground. April 2027 will show whether it delivers.
