Denso Expands Tennessee Solar Footprint with New 5.25MW Array

Denso has commissioned a 5.25MW solar installation at its manufacturing facility in Tennessee, marking another step in the supplier’s long-term push toward carbon neutrality by 2035. The project reflects a broader strategy of deploying renewable energy at the site level rather than relying solely on large-scale, centralized investments.
By adding solar capacity directly to its Tennessee operations, Denso aims to reduce the emissions tied to its own production activities while also stabilizing energy costs over time. The company has framed such projects as practical building blocks that accumulate into meaningful progress against its 2035 target.
The move mirrors a wider trend among automotive suppliers and manufacturers, which are increasingly turning to on-site renewable generation as a way to decarbonize factories without waiting for grid-level transitions. For Denso, the Tennessee array is the latest in a series of incremental clean energy commitments across its global footprint.
