Daimler Truck to Champion Hydrogen Trucks at IAA 2026 as Infrastructure Lags

Daimler Truck is set to take a leading role in promoting hydrogen fuel-cell trucks at the IAA Transportation 2026 show, according to Automotive World. The company’s push comes as Germany’s NOW funding programme for hydrogen commercial vehicles is significantly oversubscribed, indicating that demand from fleet operators is outpacing the build-out of refuelling infrastructure.

The oversubscription highlights a growing gap: while truck manufacturers like Daimler are ready to deliver hydrogen models, the lack of widespread hydrogen stations remains a hurdle.
