Clock Ticking on Early Bird Entries for the 2027 Global AAM Awards

Advanced Air Mobility players have until the end of the year to lock in discounted submissions for eVTOL Insights’ Global AAM Awards 2027. The early bird window shuts on December 31, 2026, and the price jump afterward is real.

Entry at the early bird tier runs $350**, which the organisers bill as a £50 saving against the standard **$400 rate that kicks in from January 1, 2027. Anyone still assembling a submission after that date pays full freight. The absolute cut-off for all entries is Friday, March 12, 2027.

The programme spans more than 30 categories, stretching well past aircraft hardware. Organisers say the aim is to capture the work pushing the sector toward commercial operations — engineering and certification on one side, infrastructure and community-building on the other.

Where the Categories Land

The technology and engineering side includes awards for Technology Leader of the Year, Autonomous Flight Innovation, Battery or Propulsion Innovation, and a Certification Pioneer Award.

Individual achievement gets its own slate: Engineer of the Year, Test Pilot of the Year, Communicator of the Year and an ‘Under 30’ Rising Star Award.

Then there’s the broader ecosystem — Global Ecosystem Partner of the Year, Community Engagement Team of the Year, Best Awareness Raisers, Best Company Culture and Best Place to Work. Company of the Year honours are split by headcount across three bands: under 50 employees, 50–100, and more than 100. Small design and engineering teams below 50 staff have dedicated categories too.

Judging falls to an independent panel of professionals drawn from across the industry, so entries are weighed by people who know the sector rather than outside observers.

The Two-Step Submission Trap

One practical snag worth flagging: submission and payment are separate processes. Entries go through the Awardforce platform, but payment has to be completed independently via the Eventbrite page for the awards.

An entry sitting unpaid in the system will not reach the judges at all. That’s the detail most likely to catch out a busy team in the final week of December.

With the year-end deadline closing in, the advice from the organisers is straightforward — read the criteria, pick the right categories and start pulling supporting material together now rather than in the new year. Full category descriptions, entry rules and the submission route are published on the awards platform.
