BYD Raises Overseas Sales Goal for 2026, Sets Sights on 2.5 Million by 2027

BYD has lifted its overseas sales guidance for this year to a range of 1.9 million to 2.0 million vehicles, according to CnEVPost. The adjustment reflects the company’s view that a previously increased target is now within reach.

Management also laid out a longer-term ambition: surpassing 2.5 million units sold outside its home market in 2027. The figures underscore how aggressively the automaker is pursuing growth beyond China.

With domestic competition remaining intense, overseas expansion has become a central pillar of BYD’s strategy. Hitting even the lower end of this year’s range would mark a substantial step up from its prior export volumes.
